Yoga is suitable for all ages and abilities. Some of our Yoga classes are quite gentle physically while others can be more demanding. However, as everyone's body is different, you will always be encouraged to work at a level that is right for you.

We teach smaller, friendly Yoga groups in and around the Cheltenham, Charlton Kings and Bishops Cleeve areas.

Yoga therapy is the use of Yoga to address the individual needs of a student and to promote better health.  

​Yoga therapy can help whether you wish to practise Yoga but your schedule doesn't allow you to attend a regular class, you prefer to practise on your own, you're new to Yoga and want more personalised tuition to help you learn or you have a particular health need that you would like to address. 

​​We can offer Yoga therapy sessions at a time and place to suit you.

Then this is just the weekend break for you!

We'll have daily Yoga classes (inspired by the teachings of T Krishnamacharya and his son TKV Desikachar), workshops, relaxing Yoga Nidra, stunning walks and homemade vegetarian food (including our lovely host's endless cake supply!) to enjoy. 

If you join us you will

  • Discover how Yoga can help to restore and retain your natural energy.
  • Learn simple tools that you can use at home to boost energy levels quickly. 
  • Laugh, relax and have fun with like-minded individuals.
  • Gain an insight into how your Yoga practice can be used to improve your health and well-being in the longer term. 

Students are free to do as much or as little as they wish during the weekend.

What is Yoga?

The Sanskrit word Yoga is often translated as meaning 'union' between mind, body and spirit. As a result, most students will say that a Yoga class is much more than just another exercise class.

At Phoenix Yoga we teach Hatha Yoga with classes offering students exercises to build flexibility and strength in the body, develop their breath awareness and promote relaxation.

Throughout our classes students are encouraged to develop a strong link between their breath and movements. 

Our Yoga classes usually contain a combination of dynamic and static postures (asana) together with breath work (pranayama) and relaxation exercises.

Phoenix Yoga invites you to join one of our regular, friendly Yoga classes in Cheltenham, Charlton Kings or Bishops Cleeve.

We believe that Yoga is for everyone so, if you want to come along, you'll be made very welcome at any of our Yoga classes. 

Our classes are smaller so you can benefit from individual attention and a tailored practice.   We can help you discover how Yoga can work for you whether you

  • want to improve your health and wellbeing
  • are dealing with illness or injury
  • are simply looking to achieve your full potential.

If group classes are not for you, we also offer private classes for smaller groups and corporate clients or 1-2-1 sessions at a time and place to suit you.
