The Sanskrit word Yoga is often translated as meaning 'union' between mind, body and spirit. As a result, most students will say that a Yoga practice is much more than just an exercise class.
At Phoenix Yoga we teach Hatha Yoga with sessions offering students exercises to build flexibility and strength in the body, develop their breath awareness and promote relaxation.
Throughout our classes students are encouraged to develop a strong link between their breath and movements.
Our Yoga classes usually contain a combination of dynamic and static postures (asana) together with breath work (pranayama) and relaxation exercises.
